During this course you will go through all aspects of performing CPR including:

  • State/Territory regulations, first aid codes of practice and workplace
    procedures
  • Legal, workplace and community considerations
  • Basic anatomy and physiology relating to:
    o how to recognise a person is not breathing normally
    o chest
    o response/consciousness
    o upper airway and effect of positional change
  • Considerations when providing CPR, including:
    o airway obstruction due to body position
    o appropriate duration and cessation of CPR
    o appropriate use of an AED
    o chain of survival
    o standard precautions
